Skill System

There are 4 levels of mastery in the system and multiple paths you can take once you're pass the beginner stage. These are some of the badges you can earn in your time with us.

The Combat Saber System is based on actual combat blade fighting, therefore grading is strict, and the skills needed for masteries are real.

The primary source of technical and tactical proficiency of the Combat Saber System comes from Tuhon Tim Waid of PTKGO. It's one of the last true systems that has been tested and proven through generations of combat – and is still tested today.

Warrior Level

Weapon superiority in double sabers and saber staff are key in warrior combatants. The ability to be keenly aware of where your 2 weapons are (and your opponent's weapons) in space and time is a skill only acquired through hours upon hours of training. Time before next rank is around 9 to 12 months.

Warriors will gain proficiency in 5 main areas on their path to Master:
  • Thrusting attacks and combinations
  • Close quarter footwork for attacks and evasion
  • Weapon specific combat strategy
  • Advanced double saber combat
  • Saber staff combat

Master Level

Mastery at all ranges is key at this level. Combatants are able to attack at range, close in and disarm at arms-length with all manner of weapons.

Masters will continue to improve in 3 main areas:
  • Mastery of thrusting attacks and combinations
  • Close quarter footwork for attacks and evasion
  • Close quarter combat for all weapon types
